You've been given some really good info here. Asr33h has already stated, in order for you to see which choke/shell combination will be the best you'll have to put the time in and buy a few boxes of shells and probably even a couple of chokes. Trust me, turkey hunting is not cheap by any means, with most of the cost being involved before you even step into the turkey woods.

Do yourself a favor and go over to the NWTF websitehttp://www.nwtf.organd snoop around there and see what kind of info you come up with. the Mossberg is a very popular shotgun with turkey hunters so you shouldn't have a problem finding a few choke/shell combinations to get you started.

I have the Jelly Head .660 and it is indeed a very good choke. Very reasonably priced as well.

I don't own a Mossberg. I shoot a Beretta Extrema with a 24" barrel. As far as the shells I shoot, I'm in limbo right now. The shell that I wanted to shoot this springisn't being produced anymore so I'll be shooting something else. The .660 is the exit diameter of the choke. Example: a choke with a .660 exit diametershould theoreticallythrow a tighter pattern than a choke with a .670. This isn't always the case though. That's why it's best to get several chokes with different exit diameters and shoot them in a comparison test. I hope no one told you that turkey hunting was cheap!

Click on "message board" and then go to "shotguns and shotgunning". There will be tons of info there by guys that shoot many different combinations. Many pictures as well. You can register and ask them yourself buy I'll promise that they'll give you the same answers as we're giving you. It's not that we don't want to give you an honest answer. It's just that there really is no honest answer in regards to what choke/shell combination will work best for your gun. It's discovered through experimanting with different shells and chokes. I went through 3 chokes and many boxes of shells before I found what my gun liked.

The unfortunate thing about choke tubes and shells is the only true way to determine what the best is, is to try the different combos. The only thing you can do to guide you is research guns like yours and see what people are using as there setup. That will be a good starting point, then fine tune from there.
