Cabela's Quest Boots
I’m thinking of getting a pair of Cabela’s Quest snake boots. One model has Gortex waterproofing and another has Gortex along with the Supprescent lining. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the two as far as comfort and heat buildup goes? ctwny1, I know that you have looked at the snakeproof aspect. That’s why I decided to go with the Cabela’s.

ctwny1, Thanks for the reply. I think I'll go with the same style. I don't really need the scent reduction but I thought they might be nice for early bow season. I'm going to school with T.H. in Florida and your post has me doubting my Rocky boots. I know a person, in my business, that was out of work for six months from a snake bite. I don't want to take a chance on boots that aren't reliable. Thanks for doing the research. Hope to see you and Tim in Nashville next month.

skyhawk, I hunted with Tim last Spring. Great hunt! We had my bird before seven the first morning. The bird came to us threw a 35+ mph wind. Though conditions but he had those birds pegged!

as far as the boots i'll be ordering a pair of those Quests. I have never run into any snakes but I hunt a few states each year, and you never know what you'll run into.

BearMt, Nice pictures! I hope that I can do as well. What did you do after you got your turkey? Did you hang around each morning or did you hunt along with others? Just curious.

Tim and I went back out to scout for the other guys. The weather was quite windy, kind of between fronts coming through. The rest of the guys were pick-in them off slow but sure! They do the teaching during mid-day, so that killed some time. Hey it's Florida, beats being at work!
