Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

I've confused myself.

Default I've confused myself.

Hens scratch once, then twice don't they? Or is it the other way around?

<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> ,Do you mean in a V shape ? I believe all birds tend to do that , Gobblers are known to scratch at the bases of trees...BT

I like them with Long Sharp Spurs....

BT,
I was referring to the rhythm. Hens will scratch first once with one foot, then twice with the other. It just makes for a more natural rhythm when that ol' boy is hung up.

OK, I stand corrected. I'll bow to the experts. I know when I'm whupped. That's why I asked in the first place. The main thing is the 1-2 or 2-1 cadence. They don't scratch 3, 4 or 5 times, right? At least not routinely. Just trying to dust off an old trick and throw some more info out for the newbies.
