Red dot scope or not?

RE: Red dot scope or not?
major con is that you have a battery. When the battery goes dead when you don't want it to you will be very upset. People accidently leave them on all the time or get switched on by accident. Go with a low power scope instead.

Well since you got the con I will give you a pro. There is no eye relief limit or parralax, so in theory if you had to shoot at a very akward position say behind you, with the butt of the stock on your bicep, you dont have to get you head centered behind your gun, if you canget your head over enough to see where the dot is located thats where it's going to shoot, will it hurt. Hell yeah! Recommended shot hell no, but you can do this with a red dot. Also with a red dot you are suppose to shoot with both eyes open, which will give you a better field of view and less reason to pull your head up and pull the shot.
Another con during very bright situations, ie sunny and snow on ground or on a pond duck hunting its hard and sometimes impossible to see the dot without sunglasses. As far as good ones... any reputable dealer, I would not buy a no name brand scope, dot or standard.
