I know have a new problem. The spring has "sprung" and I'm not sure where it goes. It is still attached to the little block of wood that slides back in forth but I'mnot sure where the other end is suppose to go.

I dont know that exact push pin, but if it is still attached to the box part the other end goes on the push pin. So when it is at rest a little pressure is on the spring and as you push onthe pin the spring is getting tighter, and when you remove your finger the spring will spring will pull it back to the original rest position. I would think there would be a little hook or eye visible on the push pin,but once again just a guess, if all else fails just post a pic of it.

It was still attached to the push pin, it was the other end that came loose. lucky for me my wife is more observant than I am and knew where it went.
The end of the sping just rests on the bottom of the call with the springtight agaist the side. Much simplierthan I was trying to contort it.
