I plan on trying to get a turkey with my bow this year. Where is the best place to shoot one with a bow? Also, I hunt in Texas on 500 acres of hardwoods and pastures. Is it better to hunt in the woods or in openings around the edge of the woods? Thanks for any info.

Not familiar with texas turkeys but turkeys usually are on the edges or fields during the day in the spring early summer. Also I would reccomend using a blind to shoot them with a bow. And last shoot them at the base of the wing with a good expandable broadhead or used fixed blades with a washer between the arrow and broadhead or buy the things they make to slow the penetration down when the broadhead is going thru. If you can you want the arrow to go thru but not a complete pass thru.
Just my 2 cents. Others might have there own opinions.
