Hello All, i am going to try to take a turkey with my bow. On the deer sites during the season I saw some anatomy pictures. Any anatomy sites for turkey? I want to make sure I am aiming for the vitals.

If you're broadheads are the Guillotine's . . . go for the head!
Otherwise, stay away from it. The best shot is actually full front, or rear. You know, the shot you never want to take on a deer. "Right in the briscuit . . . or the 'California heart shot!' "
If the side is all he will give you, I try to aim for the wing-to-body joint.
Good luck! And good hunting!

I couldn't find a picture, so I'll do my best to 'splain it. On a broadside shot, right in the wingbuts, where the wing joins the body. Facing you, right above the beard. Strutting, facing away.....Right up the ole.....well......ya know.

Go to www.bowsite.com . Then go to the interactive section or the turkey section. They have a great game for shot placement on turkeys with a bow. It is tough to put one down with a bow, but worth it. I used to exclusively bowhunt turkeys when I lived in central Alabama, but now live in a less dense population of turkeys. So, now I have joined the gun hunters. Good luck.
