Go get 'em ryan. Take out all of our frustrations of not being able to hunt yet on a big ole rope bearded bird.

I got out to the farms late (around 6:30) and glassed some toms in the 4 corners of our section. I went to where I thought they were heading and tried to intercept them. I place out a love triangle and sat back and wait. Around 7:15 a lonely hen came and walked right through my decoys and kept on walking. Around 8 I never saw the toms so I went searching for a place to set up in the morning. While I was walking the creek I spotted the 3 toms roosting. I slowly walked back out and built a small ground blind on the edge of our wheat field. I will be back out in the am and hopefully will get them then!

Good luck Ryan!! I'm a little interested in what's gonna happen here.....The conservation department says that 80% of the breeding happens the first 2 weeks of April, and they have indeed been doing their thing....Birds gobblin everywhere, struttin, I mean, you could tell the action was really heating up.......

Enter a cold front and old man winter again.......Folks, it was 15 degrees here last night, heavy frost this morning....It's not gonna get very warm this coming week, only low to mid 50's, and season opens Monday the 16th....I dunno what's gonna happen.....

My first day out won't be till Friday the 20th, I took the day off work and I will be inside the ole Double Bull w/ the bow.....We can only hunt till 1 here, so I'll be there till I kill one or time runs out.....Then I'm spendin the rest of the day crappie fishin...

The Gobblers are all "fired up" out here. Were having great weather too. The season opened this weekend andI hope to be out hunting them them next week if I'm not too busy.
