I went down and did some scouting in the areas that I will be
hunting in and things looked good.Saw lots of birds. The toms are strutting but the hens are just ignoring them for now. Still to early for breeding up here in Mn. Heck, it's only 9 degrees outside right now.Way,way,way to cold for this time of the year! Still have about 6" of snow on the ground. What ever happened to spring?

Well.....I KNOW Rob/PA's birds haven't shown up on there, yet.....so we might not be doing as good as we think.

My opener is Saturday.....and I'm pumped. I've never taken one with the bow....and that's the only method I'm employing, this year.

Me too GMMAT, I'm going after a tom with a recurve this Saturday. They're calling for 70% chance of boomers all day Sat. so I'm not too optimistic but I can't shoot them from my couch so I'll be out in it. I may break out a shotgun when I hunt with my buddies but when I'm solo I'll be using my bow. I've gotten one with a wheelie but not my recurve.
