melsheeba, I've always had luck shooting 4's out of it. The nitro's and any type of winchester ammo has done the best. I have tried a couple other Remington shells but nothing performs as well as the Nitro's. Next year I want to try some of the duplex shot they have, but for now I'm gonna stick with the Winch HV's.

I saw 4 longbeards with 15-20 hens last Friday. They are still flocked up but should be breaking up anytime.

Another nice day here...I would prefer if the weather would turn crappy for a bit to slow the birds down! I thin I may get out and pattern the gun this weekend, supposed to be real nice out again. Who has the first season on our team? Mine isn't until April 20.

Who has the first season on our team?
I may not have the earliest season here, but I am pretty sure I will be one of the firsts to start and one of the firsts to end. The Spring Season in Texas starts March 31 and ends May 13. I haven't had a whole lot of time to go out and scout since my wife and I have a four month old baby, but I am hoping that I will still be able to contribute to the teams overall score. I am hunting two pieces of property that have been in the family for quite a long time and I have turkey hunted this land several times in the past.

Best of luck this season.
