Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Well, yesterday ended in no luck. I had 6 gobbling on the property line that we were on (fenced off), but couldn't get any to come across. Just when I thought one may jump...BOOM! Someone on the property next to me got one and the others were heard getting fainter and fainter in the distance. I just imagined him saying "Thanks for calling 'em in for me." since I never heard him calling the birds. Oh well.

Congrats Germ, every point counts, and a bow kill to boot. Its the team captains job to keep track of scores so leave it to MO_bow. I take it your in a one bird state?

I got my blinds set-up on my buddies farm, but I'm still not seeing or hearing them the way I have at this time previous years, but alot can change in a week. Only 4 more sleeps till I'm out there, but I'm taking a buddy whos a turkey virgin with me so I'll let him take a bird if the opportunity presents itself.

Heres a pic of my new blind, corn field on one side, meadow on the other.

Field Report: Lots of Turkey movement in the past few days. The warmer weather got them moving around and increased their activity a ton up by me. Can't wait to get out. One more week! I'll be learning alot as my second season is almost here. It'll be interesting using my blind, new calls, b-mobile and maybe even my bow.

just got back from a long weekend hunt, and I went back and read all the posts I missed and congrats on all the harvests and welcome to the new team members. I scored on a huge Gobbler 25 lbs 11/4 spurs and 8.5 inch beard I think he may have been eating allot of grain from a nearby ranch. This is bird 3 for the year and the second 3 year old bird I shot this year.I still have 1 tag but I can not use it until May 1. We can only use 1 bird score per hunter is that correct? I will have to get some pix posted up.

Congrats ultimag. We can only use one bird per team member, BUT it can be your biggest bird regardlessof how many you shoot.

Yes I am in a 1 bird state.

If and a big IF Mrs. Germ lets me go to Ohio next weekend I will try again. My daughter's baseball starts next weekend. I can only hunt Sunday.
