Cannot go wrong with Primos,H.S. Strut,Or Quaker Boy. However over the years I like to get a new custom made call every spring. They sound and look better. It is also a hobby now that I started collecting them.

I really like primos mouth calls and I really hate H.S. Strut box calls. I guess It's all a matter of which fit's you. They are not too expensive to try out different types so pick up a couple and play with them till you get the one that has the sound your looking for.

I love the primos mouth calls...those are the only mouth calls that I have tried that really work for me. Everyone is different though. Turkey hunting is one of those things that are trial by error. You are going to have to try everything out for yourself and see what works best for you. I don't think you can go wrong with the primos calls, but there may be something that you will like more out there. Best of luck this season!

The Primos Power Crystal is probably my favorite production pot-type call. It sounds nice.

I second that notion.

I have always liked the diamond series of mouth calls by Primos. I use the piggyback triple also. It has a nice raspy sound. Bottom line is any call will work.A gobbler can't tell the difference between a Primos, Knight & Hale, and a Quaker Boy. It's more based on what sounds good to us. I believe we as turkey hunters sometimes try too hard to be perfectionests, but that's okay, because we love our passion.
