I hunt on my own most of the time. Ive been able the past few years to take my wife with me to Missouri to film my hunts but basically only a couple days with her. So go at it by yourself. Try it it still gets your adrenaline pumping when you hear that turkey gobbling. Thats How I learned doing it myself. Ive never had anyone else call a turkey in for me. Just do it. Theres nothing wrong with going with someone else to help ya call, but oh what a rush it is to do it by yourself. God I love turkey hunting. Ive really found out that Im addicted to the sport of turkey hunting. Next year 2008 is my grand slam year. Im going for it by myself. Oh dont ya just love it. go for it you'll do fine. Learn by your mistakes and triumphs... As I'm typng this my pet turkeys are just gobbling up a storm. Oh what a rush. Its coming 2007 turkey season........

I know what your talking about Arrowmaster, I have 2 gobblers and 5 hens they gobbler all day long. I like to hunt by myself but it's more fun with a kid. Plus my wife also video's all my hunts for me when she is not trying to wack out a big gobbler.

Well I think you are still just a little short on confidece or you wouldn't be asking the question. You have many seasons ahead of you to hunt any way you please. With where you're at I think another year with a buddy would be my advice.Try to get sombody different this season and see how his stile works as compared to last year.
I've killed birds by myself but I like the buddy thing,be it withman, woman,or child.Call in a bird for your best duddy in the world,or your sons first bird,or even your wife.See how those hunts stack up after 10 years pass. Those solo birds aren't even close to me.

Just be careful to carry a cell phone and what not and try to have fun in the process...it seems more "peaceful" when you go alone
