Nice birds everyone.

Deeg- That is simply amazing that you get to travel to different states and turkey hunt for a month straight. How do you get yourself hooked up with something like that? Is it your job? That has to cost a fortune in out of state tags, lodging, etc? Wow, that is awesome.

Hey Scott, very nice for a Mechanic!Congrat's

Thanks Reb! My best is still in the freezer, he's 24lbs, has a 10 1/2 beard, and 1 1/2 spurs. Both taken spring of 05. I got to find someone around here that can freeze dry the heads. also my son's hen he shot in the youth season in 06 is next to him. She had a 8 1/2 inch beard. I want to do both of them standing side by side, like if they were a mating pair, maybe with one with it's wings outstretched. I may be a wrench by day, but I dream of deer and turkey by nite!

Here's a few pics. of some recent birds from the Western Finger Lakes Region of NY.

I called the one in the first couple of pics. in for my little brother on openingmorning in '05. I killed the one in the third pic. on opening morning of the '06 season and wassittingonly 40 yds. or so from where my brother shot his the previous year.I was actually set up by the two big trees over my dad's head in the first pic. I shot the next one a couple of days later. I couldn't believe it...I was tagged out after only two hunts that lasted a combined two hours! Hopefully, I can keep the streak alive this spring. The last one I calledin for my cousin a couple of days later. It was an awesome hunt for his first spring gobbler.

I'm starting to get the fever already...can't waitfor May so I can get outthere and chasethose olelongbeards around again!!!
