I have never hunted the fall season for birds. Now that I am tagged out on deer I am planning a turkey trip for late this month. How do you go about locating fall/winter birds? Should I use an owl or crow call like I would in the spring? I am pretty clueless in this matter, ( or all matters as my wife would say), and could really use some tips. Thanks guys. Oh, and when I do find them how should I call, and should I set out a flock of dekes? I know, I know, I'm just full of questions.

Tx,
Likely that if you use the samee locater during the spring you will come up empty handed in the fall.
Lost yelps and kee-kees are the most effective. I would suggest doing this every 100 yards and sit about a hour at a time!!
Good luck and post pics

do a search on "fall tactics"
there was a number of good posts on this.
No fall season here and so I had read a lot of good stuff out of interest. Couple different ways to go about it but no question it is differnet than spring.
