Wild turkeys this morning, wow
Howdy yall,
Alison and I went for a walk this morning, and she said, "Look at all those buzzards!".
I said, "Honey, I do believe those are wild turkeys, not buzzards!"
And sure nuff, they were turkeys. Biggest gobbler I've seen and well, I coulda sworn there were 20 hens but I can only count about 15 on the video I took. That gobbler sure did get big when he put all his feathers out. Never seen them around here before, although I've seen some out on the ranch never this many at once. One of those odd times I had my camera in the pocket!

Here's a pic of the gobbler I took this morning, 11/28/06, he's the only one in the whole video, so notice how much smaller he looks without his feathers all out like this. Still a very big bird!
Hope yall are having good luck this fall. Jody got a buck but so far Alison and I are facing an empty freezer. Got one pack of venison sausage from last year left, but Katy's mom died yesterday so we promised to bring it for the reception this weekend. She woulda been 99 in January.
