Any ideas for an outfitter in Texas
Hey guys, my buddy was wanting to try and go Turkey hunting in Texas. I would like to find one that does not cost an arm and leg. My buddy has the money, but I'm just a regular old police officer and would like to find an affordable Turkey hunt. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

The Texas panhandle is a place that has Management lands that offer some great turkey hunting. Black kettle creek is one place that I can remember and the hunting presure was not bad at all. They offer a number of limited tags for an area and it is a great place to collect a Rio. I'm sure if you got a hold of the DNR and asked about this such area , they would have the info you need...BT

Thanks for theresponses so far. I would like to find something in the $500-700 range. My buddy asked me if we could find somehere fairly close to San Antonio. I told him I would try, but no promises. Any more ideas? Thanks.

Try contacting aggielandhunting.com. I went on a hunt in Encinal for $450.00. That is about 1 1/2 hours south of San Antonio. It is an unguided trip with lodging. The lodgingwas not that great, but the hunting was. Food is not included. You can kill two birds. They have a few more ranches for a little more money, but still good prices. I killed my two longbeards the first day.
