If you do want to try decoys try this...Make a fan for your jake...cut a half circle out of some one inch pine...mine is about a 6 - 7 inch diameter....them drill 14-16 1/4 inch holes along the circle about 1/2 inch apart....work the drill sideways to give them the elongated shape of the quill feathers...stick the tail feathers in....drill a 1/4 hole on the bottom for a support stick...Take your decoy and cut a slot where the fan will go....insert fan and cut a support stick to help support the tail.....Add a couple of hens and let that gobbler see the jake strutting his stuff......

You could glue the feathers in if you like...I didn't bother, I had a couple of feathers left over, saved them in case I loose any...
