Default mad calls

A couple of years ago i purchased a Mad Super Carbonator Box call, it was the fist call i every purchased. The call works great for a little while and then it starts to make high pitched squeaks and not turkey calls. the only way to fix this is to sand the carbon striking surface, i don't know about you guys but that's not exactly what i want to be doing when a bird could be on it way to me. When i'm in the woods i want to hunt not fix my equipment. Have you guys experienced any problemslike this and what do you recommend???

There are only two seasons in a year: Hunting season and waiting for hunting season.
