Default RE: What To Do About Jakes!

Well we are only allowed one bird a year here in MN, an it actually is my dad's first year hunting them, I went my first time last year and bagged a large 23 pounder with a 9 1/2 beard (I think my dad just doesn't want to be shown up by his son hehe) I am just calling for him right now because I drew a tag for a couple weeks from now. If it were me behind the trigger I would probably be blasting some jakes too, but my dad is taking his time and wants to try to get a larger bird and doesn't want to shoot something so small this early in his season since he still has wed, thurs, and friday left to hunt. I am going archery this year so I may not be so patient as my dad. Anyway, I was just trying to find a way to get the jakes to leave so that I can continue coaxing in the other birds... trying a different area tomorrow maybe that willhelp...
