Rhino Choke Finish Problem?
#1

Looking for feedback from people who own one of these chokes...
Just recieved my Rhino choke today, and was surprised that theexterior finish on the extended ported end looks like a rusty pipe. Rusty pipe is one thing, but its not the same over the entire surface. There are portions that are bare (black) like it was in a machining chuck - possibly from polishing the bore - othertool marks also.
I plan to call them tomorrow, but was wondering if has anyone with this choke had the same problem. If so, is actual rust a problem with this "finish"?
Regardless, pretty poor IMO for the price of this thing.
Thanks.

I thought the same thing when I got mine last year. After calling them I was told it's just the finish they have on it. It's not rust or rusting out on you. After I shotit,Ididn't care what it looked like
It's really not as bad as this photo looks! The flash from my camera intensifies the rust look. Hope this helps

Yep my Rhino looks today just like it did when I used it lastyear, which is to say it looks like hell. BUT that is just the finish they use. We have sold probably over 100 Rhino's this year and nearly that many lastyear, they ALL look like that. Just their finish.
Besides it's a piece of machined stainless steel, even if it did rust it aint gonna hurt it. I like the finish, it doesn't flake off (like camo dips) and if they didn't do anything it would look like a Pattermaster! If if it really bothers ya just hit it with some rust colored primer from time too time and forget about it.

Mine don't look quite that rust colored and I have hadone of themfor several years, the main thing is you mix some Nitro hevi shot with that thing and you have an awesome turkey taker. I have shot I don't know how many chokes and loads and nothing comes close to the Rhino and Nitro, they have something figured out that the others don't know.
