no offense to my home state, but why would you want to leave mt to come hunting in wa??
don't get me wrong it's a great state...just curious. i spend a week or 2 in mt every spring/summer doing the flyfishing thing. i guess we have pretty good turkey hunting.

I'm a webfooted West sider who is a Southern transplant to this part of the world. I normally hunt Merriams up in Colville, but will head to the SE corner of the state inthe Blue Mtsthis Spring to try for Rios. I'll also chase an Eastern or two on this side if I get the chance. Kinda nice having 3 species of birds, but the crowds can get tough in some areas.

heading to colville/pend oreille area...any advice for a greenpea??
used to hunt easterns in upstate NY but this will be my first trip in WA. I deer hunt in pomeroy and have seen turkeys, but not very often where i hunt. there are many more further up into the mountains. slee...not sure if you have seen but there are periodic road closures in the wooten when the copters are flying doing the salvage logging operation since the school fire. are you familiar with the area?? there is onfo on the road closures on the dfw website.

ultimag-maybe you should come over here to hunt...with me. i could use the guidance. lots of birds in the northeastern area...apparently from what i have read, too many. we'll have to see if we can help the wdfw with that problem this year. good luck to all.
