Ladies and Gents, lets make this base camp for team 9, everyone check in and tell where you will be hunting.

Im in the mountains of western NC and will be hunting here for sure. My trip to Alabama this week got postponed/or canceled...we'll see. I am looking into SC and GA right now, and only live 10 minutes from TN so we'll have tosee if Tar Heel turkeys aren't the only heads I stomp this spring. GO TEAM 9!!!!

I leave for Florida this week. I will also be hunting South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, New York, Maryland, and of course Pennsylvania. I was hoping you could enter more then 1 bird. I will have 15 tags this spring.;) I do most of my hunting with my Hoyt. Wish everyone a fun and safe season. And lets see some pics of dead birds!!!!!

Well I will be hunting in Oh. It sure wouldbe nice to shoot a bird as big as last years was. I had the highest scoring turkey in last years contest. So watch out, here I come. car

Thienespines here, I will be hunting in Wisconsin. I will have three tags after all is said and done and start huntin April 19th. Been scoutin at all three locations and have seen the birds now all i need to do is put some Winchester #4 in Um!!!

Arrowmaster here and ready to lay the smack down on a nice turkey. Im hunting Indiana and Missouri. I plan to be in Missouri on their opening date and back to Indiana on our opening day.

2 Tags for VT (Seaseon Starts May 1)

I will be hunting Posted Private land in both states and the turkey populations are good at both places!

The place in VT is a horse farm that has been off-limits and strictly patrolled for the last 5 years! It belongs to a co-worker and they are sick of teh turkeys and actually want me to "Shoot'em All" as they are becoming bothersome to the owners! I scouted there the other day and counted 6 mature Toms!

Has anyone from our team been out yet. I wont be hunting until April 24th and then its on until seasons are out or until I kill 3 longbeards.

I'll be hunting in New York, season starts May 1st, sunup till noon...there's a two bird limit per season and i hope to help out as much as possible...lets get some birds on the scoring table huh?

I'm hunting southern Ontario and have 5 weeks to fill 2 tags starting last week in April. I'm a relative newbie but I have a few good (private) spots and hope to contribute.

Great work BM, don't forget to post them in the score post at the top, I don't think we have to wait till the end to find the biggest score, post them all and only the biggest will count at the end.

About the rest of the gang, should we e-mail them? We'll never win this thing if we are short six guys, I was lurking in team 10s page and they were talking about finding alternates for members that they couldn't get a hold of.

Wait fellas, I'm here and ready to go. Sorry it's taken so long to check in, but I have limited access to the net. Nevertheless, I'll be checkin in from time to time. I'll be hunting some excellent ground here in Northeastern Oklahoma, where we have a mixedpopulationof eastern's and rio's. With alot of birds on my hunting lease, I'm expecting to contribute my share to the team. Good luck to the rest of you, and hunt safe. Oh, and congrats on a couple of nice birds, BM!!

I will be hunting all 4 sub species. I want an eastern the most. Its the only one I need for a slam with the bow. I am hoping to make it to Ny this spring. I thought it was a definite but the guys land I hunted doesnt know if hes taken anyone this year. If not I will hunt public land something I dont like to do because I dont use my mounted jake for a decoy. good luck

bullmoose, keep your laptop running when you get to New York, keep me informed on what things are like in the public lands...maybe we can hook up and chase a few birds on some private lands i own and have permission to hunt...good luck on your slam...i soooo want to put a slam hunt together.

Hey guys, sorry I took so long to say hello!!!!!!!! I've been slammed! I hope to help us out with a longbeard. I'll be bowhunting for my bird!!!! I can't wait. I've got the 1st week here in Wisconsin and the 1st week in Michigan so I'm hoping to get a tag filled! I'm kinda new to turkey hunting, last fall was my first hunt and I scored a nice hen with my bow, so dig it!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

old longbeards - recently re-introduced Easterns up here.

I will be shotgunning most days but we can't gun hunt on sundays so I'll also get the compound and x-bow out a few times.

tschaef...since they've been recently re-introduced..what sub-species did you hunt in canada? and good luck with the bow and crossbow...hope you get a couple of toms floppin.

Recently might be an exageration because there has been a huntable population where I hunt for the last 5yrs. Turkeys were extinct in Ontario untill about 15yrs ago when the MNR and private groups started trading our captured wolves for your captured wild turkeys (easterns) for release. It has been a fantastic success story, but Ontario is so big that they are still releasing birds in new areas. I'm sure alot of farmers in the states aren't too happy about getting our wolves, but we sure do appreciate your turkeys.

still...five years ago is pretty recent....congrats to Ontario..i can only imagine what those birds will grow to be in size and weight in a few more years...Birdzilla...YIKES!

I'm is West Milwaukee, Kinda by 43rd and Lincoln! I'll be hunting up in the North Kettles. Great area hopefully not too many hunters like Gun Hinting for Deer! How Bout you?? Good Luck.
