My wife and I went to bed pretty late the other night and after lying in bed for about thirty minutes or so and not being able to sleep, I got out of bed. My wife asked, "what are you doing, I thought you were asleep." I told her I can't sleep. She said why, do you have alot on your mind? I said I'm thinking about turkey hunting. She said, "YOU'RE GOING TO TURN INTO A DAMN TURKEY." Then she rolled over mumbling something and shaking her head. I don't know what that was all about.

Yeah, I got the turkey bug............BAD.

just take her with ya so she can see what it is that makes us a bunch of freaks come turkey time, lol.........

At least you are in the south, I'm guessing your season will start soon.

Take her hunting, deep fry that bird, have a nice presentation, and maybe she will turn around. If not, don't fret. The turkeys will turn out to be your own friends and family...and you will get use to it.

She'll get over it. I wake up all the time in the middle of the night, hearing turkeys, ducks or what ever the season may be.

It ain't that bad. She likes to hunt too, she hasn't gotten into turkey hunting yet, the only reason is we have 3little ones 2, 4, & 6 and baby sitters at 4 am are a little hard to find. She has no problem with me going huntin', but she still doesn't understand why I get so geared up when turkey season (at the time) was still a month away.
