Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Do you need a special choke for Winchester Xtended Range??

I get a decent pattern out to 50 yards with my briley hevi-shot choke and Rem HS #6's, I was thinking about trying the Xtended Range. My old choke was a Comp-N-Choke which you can't shoot Hevi through. Will it shoot the Xtended Range or is it denser than lead as well?

My understanding from reading about the Xtended range ammo is, that it is more dense than lead (heavier) but it is softer than the steel of the shotgun / choke steel. Therefore it is safe to shoot in all shotguns / chokes. You may want to research it a little more, but that's the understanding I get from it.
