Shotgun: In the head. Aim right where the red of the neck meets the feathers. With a bow, the quickest shot to put them down is also in the head, but its hard to hit. Aim at the wing joint and use big mechanicals so the arrow stays in. If they're strutting, wait till they face away and aim for the base of the tail feathers.

That's an easy one.....TEXAS!!!

Seriuosly....With a shotgun, always the neck/head(with the shot used in turkeys loads they can not penetrate the bodyreliable enough to reach the vitals)

With a bow the jucntion where the leg meets the body with regular broadheads or turkey points. The vitals on a turkey are very small and shot placement is critical if you want to humanely harvest a bird. I have not used them but with a turkey guilotine, head and neck shots are reccomended.

in the head and neck area..and yes..a turkey can fly off with your arrow..or run..so place a good shot with your bow also..just as the others were saying..there is different shot placements with a bow..some harder than others..just choose the one that applies to your situation at the time.

I've heard if you shoot one with a bow the best place is threw the thighs...

I'm not much on the bow thing... To hard to kill with a shotgun let alone a bow

I agree with Mr. Longbeard,

Through the thighs. If you break a Thigh bone they can't run, and if they can't run they can't jump andfly. Also your still close enough to thevitals witha thigh shot. However it still would depend on the angle the bird presented me with.
