Well not alone or scared but here is my dilema...
Last season (spring 05) I was introduced to Turkey hunting and this season the brotherinlaw said I am on my own this year...I do not have down using a mouth call at all just figured out how not to choke on it...but I can use a box and slate call just fine...I should be fine with just those two right?

You will be O.K.,,,A good idea is to watch the hunting show's on the T.V.
or pick up a couple tapes and do some pratice.
My son and I drive the wife nut's by pracxticing in the house.
Just remember not to go out ahead of season and call to see if the tom's answer back,That educate,s them real fast not to come to that call.
I hope this helps you some.
And most of all Good Luck

Just get out there and go for it!! Don't worry about trying to make perfect sounds. Youd be surprised at how aweful some turkeys sound, and you will be surprised how many will come to your imperfect calling. Just use1 rule when hunting, Don't move, and always be ready for the unexpected. Can't tell you how many times I thought they weren't coming in, and decided to get up from the tree, and sure enough, they were just over the rise! Busted!!!! Good luck partner.

i suck using a mouth call so i have to use friction calls....it's about practicing and having confidence in your call, no matter what kind of call it is. just remember, learn something from every hunt and if you're like me you'll screw up more often than not. that's hunting.
