I used to hunt with a black 870 but now use a camo BPS and can't tell a difference.

No doubt a camo gun will shoot 30 -40% further, tighter patterns, and more accurate..Never try to kill anything up close, get a scope if you can but make sure the camo pattern is same as gun and all your camo clothes have to match as well or the gun will not function as well as you need.
