Default Which scope do you use?

I used to have a Simmons Pro Diamond 4x32 that I liked very much
and I lost my mind and traded it off last year. I have a Nikon
2-7x32 on my Benelli SBE but I am going to use my Win 1300 this year
and want to put a scope back on it. Is there any scope better than
the Simmons Pro Diamond for turkey hunting? TheNikon is ok but I
liked the Simmons better.

I was going to go with the Pro Diamond and was introduced to Bushnells turkey scope, cross hairs with a circle....anything in the circle is toast...and the Bushnell came with the lifetime and waterproof...at the time I was told that the Simmons was not.

This will be the 13th year that I've had a Leupold Vari-X II 1x4 Shotgun scope on my Remington 870. It's a great scope that will last a lifetime!

I laughed at scopes for turkey guns for 15 years. Finally technology started outdistancing regular beads so I put a red dot on my turkey gun several years ago with an admitted pesimistic attitude toward it. The scope would have to prove itself too me. The very first time I scoped a turkey with my 25mm TruGlo red dot I said too myself (as I pulled the trigger and HAMMERED the bird ) I needed something witha larger field of view. The nextweek I had a 45mm red dot and LOVE IT!!! The only other scope I would consider would be a quality holographic red dot. They are smaller, lighter and less bulky than a large red dot butwouldstillhave an un-interruptedfieldof view.

Boy what I was missing. I found myself able to easily take shots that were otherwise questionable with beads. Not because of the distance perse, but because of the much more fine dot that the scope gave me vs the amount of surface area blocked by a bead at distances over 40 yds. A True Glo bead at 50+ yds blocks nearly half a bird out, nevermind picking something as fine as the wattle/feather line or the eyeballs.

For me I can get MUCH more precise shot placement/aiming/targeting with a red dot than with beads. (Really the same reason we have scopes on our rifles right?)
