Default ethical or not?

what does everyone think about scattering a flock that is already roosted whether the bust would be in the a.m or p.m. I have not tried this but I do not have a problem with it your thoughts

I dont see anything wrong with it. It aint like you would be shooting them out of the roost. That I do have a problem with![:@]

Its a great tool in the fall or late spring when the toms are all hened up. I have done this and have been very successfull. Break up the flock while in the roost, adn then setup in the middle of the scattered flock and start calling, be patient they will be leary. But they will group back up.

Who in the world ever said it was unethical? That is one of the best tactics a turkey hunter can use, regardless of season. A lone turkey is MUCH easier to contend with than a group. Especially when you are fighting hens who are hellbent on taking the toms away from you!!!

Bet em too it I say,

For fall birds that has been one of the main tactics here in Pa. for generations. As said above,It can work in the Spring too.Not a thing wrong with it.
