Hi, i've got a mossberg 500 20 gauge, and was wanting to know what would be a good choke tube for turkeys at the very most to 40 yards.I was also wanting to know what would be a good shot size and brand of shell for my gun. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!

My neighbor's son took several toms with a Mossberg 20 ga. and an Undertaker choke tube. They were killed clean at 35 yd or so. As far as shot sizes and shell brands, you'll have to experiment. Every gun is different. I would think that #6's would give you more pellets and you might start there when you start looking for a load.

There was a lot of 20 gauge talk on www.nwtf.org message board not long ago and several folks were discussing chokes and ammo. You might want to log in and search for it.
Good luck!

Check with Mossberg on a choke tube. Mine is a Mossberg choke tube for a Mossberg 500 12 ga. Ive had no problems with their choke tubes. Not a single miss yet. I myself am partial to Federal 3" 6 shot.

They choke tube I would recommend would be the HS undertaker choke tube. If you want to shoot lead, get the regular one, if you think you might want to shoot one of the new higher density shot loads, get the HeviShot model.
