How much movement can I get away with?
I know turkeys can see movement, but I am wondering if your gun is pointed in their direction, can you move it slowly to stay on them as they approach? Or is that too much movement? Do you need to pull your gun up quickly when you are ready to shoot?

the only time to move is when the bird is not looking in your direction or there is a tree or something he passes in front of to obscure his vision.a turkey does not miss the slightest movement if it is looking in your direction.

You can't move at all unless the turkey's eyes are behind his tail fan or a tree or some other obstruction. Even slight movements will be spotted if he's anywhere close. They have awesome perpheral vision too--something like 270 degrees I believe. When you factor in their constantly moving head, it's probably a total circle! [:@]

loner is right they can see about everything.. but in some cases you can follow a bird w/ your gun if he is moving but only if he is moving.. but best case is to wait till goes behind a tree or goes into strut and truns around his fan will block his eyes....

These guys pretty much said it. If you are aimed at one and he is moving you can follow them with the gun but if you have to move your body, make sure they arent watching!
