Thanks for the tips and support.

Yeah the first thing I thought about when I saw the lag screws still in the tree, should have used washers.
But this guy would have done whatever it took to get the cam, he lives with within walking distance, knows my truck.
A few years ago this guys mother tried logging our front woodlot that borders their lot, luckily I happened to come along while the loggers were marking trees.
Just goes to show that the nut doesn't fall far from the tree.

We went and bought a plotwatcher, also posted some this property is under video surveillance signs.

Some pics for your viewing pleasure.

This 11 pointer has tons of potential, hope he makes it through this season.
I saw this guy from my stand on Friday.

Looks like this little guy got taken out behind the woodshed.

Looks like another with some potential.

Better than (2) fenderwashers would be a single steel plate with (2) holes drilled spaced apart to match up with the (2) holes in the camera box.

Also to consider is finding some screws that are a harder grade because they are much tougher if someone thinks they are just going to drag a hacksaw blade behind the box. And actually putting a really fat washer or even a bushing between the box and tree would do alot to keep a blade from cutting any bolt you use if the blade rides the edge of the washer.

I also highly recommend custom1enterprise lock boxes.
They aren't cheap but are great.
Heavily made. I'll keep buying them.

Another update, received a letter from the county prosecutor today.

Cameras were stolen(Bushnell recovered)-scan_pic0001.jpg

"Write a letter expressing your desired outcome of the case"

Death by firing squad (Archery) of course

Seriously though, should I ask for lockbox money, and pain and suffering from not getting any pics of Shaqtus?

Class D felony, how about them apples

Hopefully, at the very least, all this will keep this guy from doing something like this again.

Blessings.....Pastorjim
