Nope different deer.
Pictures 1 & 2, buck has much longer brow tines.
Even with the rut near, pictures 1 & 2, he has much, much more body mass.
Maybe a father and son.

i would also say its a different buck and another beauty! hopefully you can get in there and get a shot at him!

Buck's antlers change color according to what kind of tree they rub.
If that's what colors the antlers, how are they so uniformly colored? The outside, the back, all the spots on the antlers that don't contact the tree? And what trees permantly color the anters? Last I checked, bark doesn't have ink in it.

It's usually the blood in the velvet that does the most to color the antlers.
