Default Moultrie I45 Question

Came across a good deal on the camera listed above, and despite some of the reviews, decided to give it a chance. I have one quick question as I'm in the process of setting it up. Can you select between flash and IR at night....or is it an automatic switch to IR once it gets dark? Thanks.

Hi:
I did a little research for you. Check these web sites out:
http://www.squidoo.com/moultrie-I45
This one claims to accept up to 4GB SD card.
http://www.moultriefeeders.com/produ...id=mfh-dgs-i45
This one claims to accept up to 16GB SD card.
http://www.chasingame.com/index.php?id=114
This one claims to accept up to 16GB SD card.
The last two websites give a good review with the better one on
Chasingame. A 16 GB SD card would be nice as it is getting harder to
purchase the old 2GB SD card due to new technology and a high demand
for the larger cards.
This sounds like a very nice camera. Hope this helps.

My Moultrie I-60 takes color pic's during the day and it changes to IR late in the evening/night time.Sometimes it will take more of a white picture when it is changing from early morning to day time. There should never be no flash during the day time at all...the only thing you'll notice is a "Glow" when the IR is going off.I also read that the newer Moultrie Camera's don't show the noticable "Glow" any more...is this true on your new I-45 Camera?

GTO....haven't noticed yet. I need to play around with it a little more before putting it out I guess. I was under the impression that you could choose either flash or IR at night, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Either way I have my fingers crossed that it turns out to be a decent camera. Thanks for the response.

Moultrie got out of the flash camera business with the "M" series cams.
I think they are still selling the low end D40 but who knows how long that will last.
The "I" models are all IR cams.

Sorry about my confusing reply MooseDrool...! Like Pnut mentioned you can't choose a "Flash" on the IR Models, your only going to get the night IR pictures of black & white.

Keep us up-dated on how well Your I-45 Camera performs...I'd be very interested to know how well it does and the quality of the night IR pictures?I was thinking about getting a I-65 Model and possibly getting the cable connection for the unit to send pictures Via the Moultrie Web Site so I don't have to got out the woods and check my camera!
