Haystack, you may be right about that deer's tail. Here's most of the sequence of pics on that animal.

Also note the small button-like protrusions. I wonder if he is a button buck or he's just going to have a small rack.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

PastorJim, great pics!

Looks like those are two piebalds! Almost looks as though someone painted them and they are in need of a second coat of paint.

It does look like that deer lost most of its tail and i feel like it will be a small buck for sure. Also it looks like it like it may have some kind of injury on its front left leg. You can see it in the first three pictures of the sequence, looks like some a growth of some sort maybe.

Hunt4Life,

Good eye on that growth on it's leg, I didn't see that before. Here are some more pics of that same deer on a different camera. (I-40) Same day, earlier time.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

Great pics Jim. Although, as far as piebald, I think the deer are gaining their summer coat and the lighting to get that look. I get alot of pics like that.

Yea, it doesnt look like a piebald to me. And you never answered my questions on whether those are from an I590 or not Jim.

And it certainly does look like you have a "bob tail" deer LOL, it will be easy to keep track of that one! And I would agree, that those odd looking deer are going through a phase shedding their winter coat. I've seen a similar look to deer in Sept when they are getting their winter coat.

Caleb,

Sorry for ignoring your question. In this thread only a couple of the pics were from the stealth cam. But in the mother of all posts, there were more. The stealth cam pics say stealth cam at the bottom of the picture. I gotta say I was pleasently suprised with the quality of the pics I got from it. It did however, have more pics with nothing in them than the other cameras, two I-40s and the reconyx. But that could have been partly do to where I had it placed. On this trip, I just swapped cards but next time I go out I am going to move them and then I will be placing the stealth cam in the deep woods. That's why I bought it in the first place, because it's pretty dark in there, even in the daytime.

Blessings.....Pastorjim
