to early for rut? i would HAVE to disagree on that... dad shot a buck this weekend and he was in rut, my uncle " a very good hunter that knows his deer better than most people" said holy Sh** isnt that a lil early for that? i guess it came into 2 grunts and started licking a branch and rubbing his head, might be territorial BUT what about the glands? that tells ya right there... so whats this tell you? early rut?

Too far from the rut in WI. alot of deer still have their velvet. Not sure who your uncle is or where hes from but this is not the rut. We were just saying the other day how long it was going to take to see one of these posts. So since your uncle is a deer expert that makes an early rut, come on man, you know better than that.
