I'm not going to jump the gun on this one like i did the no-flash. worst camera I've ever used, by far!
I agree, they really "screwed the pooch" when they changed the design two years ago. I'm abig fan of the older models, hopefully they corrected their mistakes this time.

Our take on these cameras so far from reading the brochure....

These are very basic single shot cameras with no frills other than, hopefully a pretty good trigger time. Size appears
to be somewhere around 5X8 inches and a couple inches thick. Availability around June 1. Has internal memory but does not appear to have any ports so memory probably is transfered to card somehow. Sure makes buying a Scoutguard or an
I/M 40 more attractive.

More data on the new Cudde capture and capture IR cams
1. 40 ft white flash
2. 25 ft IR flash (not good)
3. no movie mode
4. no multi shot mode (burst mode)
5. single 3 MP "pixel plus" setting (probably 1.3 inturpolated to 3)
6. no ext. battery port
7. single narrow sensing cone PIR lens
8. no battery condition indicatorThis is what chasingame.com has to say about this new model camera

Cabelas always does that crap. They release stuff on their site before the manufacture is ready to ship the items.

Same with the new G5 nocks on there. They aren't going to be out till June at least is what g5 said when I called them.

I payed way to much for my cuddes IMO, especially now after using the bushnell 5.0's very easy to use and better design..... I hate the cuddes battery compartment too.. oh well live and learn..
