sorry if I sound preachy but I have had loads of success with the way I set up my cam... Also put it on 2 pics...

i had a friend say he had the same problems. we found that the sd card lock was just barely moved which would not allow his cam to take any pics. ever since we have been making the cam take a pic of us before we leave.
