That seems to be the overall general consensus on the 06 Cuddebacks, not so good and customer service blows. Hit up wihunter402. He can tell you everything you need to know about Cuddeback and help you save a lot of money in the process.

I called them and they walked me through the camera.. In my house it's working great.. But I already knew that.. I may just return it and get one with a flash.. She said she thinks the best model is the g3 c3000.. But that's also this year isn't it..

Maybe I'll just get an Excite or maybe even a Moultree Camera...

Personally I would steer clear of the Cuddebacks all together until they get the bugs worked out of the 2006 models. Thats what happens I guess when you try to re-invent the wheel. I have heard and read that the leaf rivers are ok. I have been using the Stealth cam WD-2 with good results. They are only $169 with a $20 rebate through the end of the month. If you want to see what kind of pictures I get with them, just let me know. You give up trigger speed, its around the 2 second range for me as opposed to 3/4 second. I just aim them to shot up or down the trail as opposed to across the trail perpendicular.

I got a cudde expert at the beggining of the season and I like it alot. I wanted to try and Infared cam but read some bad stuff on the cudde so I went with the Leaf River IR. I have been overly impressed with the LR. I like my cudde and it takes a better pic but the LR will take 3 pics in the time the cudde will only take one. The cudde does have the trigger speed though. It's 2 secs fater than the Leaf River.

All you guys that are throwing your cams away or not using them after 4 pics and stuff, have you tried taking them back to the store or sending them back to where you purchased it? $350-400 is alot of money to be chunking with out a fight.

Does anyone know of a place online to purchase an older model of the Cuddeback?
Try this place.

I work for a pro shop so it was nothing for me to take it back, I just switched it for another no flash, if it don't work then I may try the expert.. Just since I already have the cards and readers and such...
We also have an old cudde 1.3, thought of even trying that.. it's cheap enough..

I did call the guy I bought my no flash from and he did agree to replace it. I was getting ready to sendit to him and thought this is not his problem. The manufacturer should be responsible for this. After hearing how bad Cuddeback's customer service was I wanted to find out for myself. I sent it back to them. Antler's are dropping soon anyway. Time will tell.
