Literally Jake black powder is just a blast. No pun intended. I look towards the muzzleliader season far more than any other firearm.
Recently did Gun Safe(s) clean out/reorganize.
I found I had my dad's CVA Trapper's combo I have to try.
Not a flinter but it's something new to try in the world of blowing smoke!. I'll start with the 12 ga barrel of the set. See what pattern I get for spring turkey.

No update. Doing a little crossbow hunting still. And working around the home place as always.

Did pick up a few items Clem said I'd need. Think I've got a pretty good kit together now and can tear down the whole thing with what I have in my bag if need be

Too long to fit in the gun safe so I got it up in it's new home today

Looks good but open that frizzen and lower the hammer all the way. You don't want to keep pressure on the spring at half cock.
