Default CVA Conversion

I have an old CVA .54 caliber Mountain Rifle, percussion model that I built in 1980. I retired it in 1996 when I began hunting exclusively with flintlocks. I had been thinking about converting this old rifle to flint ignition. My wife bought me a L&R drop in flintlock for it and I converted it. I am looking to hunting with this old friend again.

For some reason the little video clip doesn't seem to work.

Sounds like a great conversion. Those old CVA Mountain Rifles were great shooting rifles.

Video worked for me. You have to wait for it to load.

Cayugad, This old rifle has always been a tack driver and I have put many pounds of venison in the freezer with it. The conversion was very simple.

I cut my teeth you could say on a .58 caliber CVA Mountain Rifle which I think had a Douglas Barrel actually. That was one accurate rifle. And the owner of the rifle fell on the ice one deer season when hunting, and cracked the stock of the rifle. Instead of trying to fix it, he sold it because of the value of the barrel and got a .54 caliber Renegade.
