that is pretty cool. I don't use lead to hold my flints. I use leather. I tried lead and it slipped the jaws too much.

I've had good with with lead and black english flints, that was the only way I could get consistent spark for some reason. Ever since making the change to FA flints, leather has been good.

I use lead. The cock screw always has to be re-tightened after the first three or four shots. After that it stays firm. I much prefer it over leather.

I've tried lead, wasn't that impressed. I have heard and read that some lock makers will void your warranty if lead is used vs leather in their locks. I believe Jim Chambers is one of them. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
