Default Vent liner update and cleaner

For reasons unknown to me the RMC liner I got for my Pedersoli Frontier Rifle would not give me reliable ignition as I stated earlier so I modified the original and reinstalled and my ignition problems went away.
I ordered a 3 pack of Pedersoli liners and when they came in, instead of having just the slot for the screwdriver they were darn near identical to my modification. Even the flash hole was opened up to 1/16" instead of the previous .055"
I noticed the patches used to swab the bore to remove the oil prior to shooting were coming out a red-brown color. EEK - rust?
I had purchased some of Jon's "Shoot Out" so I decided this rifle would be a good candidate to try it on. I moistened twenty .020 patches per Jon's instructions and headed off to the stripping pit. My normal load is 80 gr of FFFg, a .018" patch and .490" ball. But for this process I used 35 gr of FFFg, the .020" patches and .495" ball. Getting this ball an patch down the bore was not easy. But Jon's instructions were "the tighter the better". Anyway I got off 16 shots before the rain came and only had one fail to fire. This was due to my flint coming loose. A quick reinstall and tighten and all was good.
Now I am satisfied. I have a good reliable shooting rifle and after looking down the bore with my borescope I found it shining like a mirror. Three days after cleaning swabbing the bore with a lily white patch showed no signs of rust.
So far both products I've used of Jon's are excellent. I don't endorse anything unless I like it and I like his stuff.
