As I said before in the previous post, we took our time and enjoyed the moment!
This is the FIRST time out at 100 yards with his CVA Hawken .54cal that my dad and I rebuilt for him for Christmas. I did all the work including the bedding job, stock shaping, finish, etc.
We had it 3" high at 50 yards and today, the results were perfect.
90gr 2FG Goex, .020" patches lubed with anti rust and patch lube, .530" home cast round balls.
His has the original style rear sight ( modern adjustable) but we outfitted it with a german silver front blade sight and the thing just flat out WORKS!

Very nice shooting. I noticed too that if your 2 inches high at 50, your much lower then you'd think at 100. But since I seldom shoot that far hunting, I sight them dead on at 50. That is good shooting and a beautiful rifle. Nice job there!!
