Default Asbell Custom Bighorn/comments,suggestions?

I just bought an Asbell era Custom Bighorn takedown with #62 and #67 limbs at 27". Any suggestions/comments about this bow would be appreciated. Other than being a little noisy with string twang before any type of silencers I really like the bow. I'm looking for history, etc on the bow.
Thanks in advance...

I found a website on Bighorn bows. Is this the same bowyer? Or
did Mr. Asbell sell his bow building business? In any case they
seem to be high quality weapons. Possibly getting in touch with
Mr. Asbell would get you more of the detailed information you're
after. Good luck and good hunting.

Bighorn has changed hands once or twice since then, I believe. If you can find contact info., Denny Behn would be the man to talk to. I believe he did most of the design work. G. Fred is shooting a Black Widow nowadays, and giving shooting seminars through the same company.

Well, thanks fellas, I was starting to get a complex... couldn't figure out if what I said to offend everyone, if it was me, Asbell or BigHorn. I really like the bow so far. Got it "silenced" with some cat whiskers and moleskin, now all I have to do is shoot, shoot, shoot.
I met Mr. Asbell at Coudersport the last 2 years but didn't get the bow ‘til after the shoot, but I will talk to him next year and learn the whole story.
Just wanted to know if I did well by this bow and looking for any inherent flaws with it.
Thanks again and good hunting.

Sorry I am not more help--never owned one myself. They used to be one of the "high end" bows, or at least the very few I saw were (before I had a computer), and no way I would spend $1,000+ on a bow (still won't!). If you like it, that is all that counts. I am no Asbell fan, but not because of the man himself (never met him). I don't dislike him either, I just don't agree with his technique, and wouldn't advise anyone trying to learn to shoot from his video.

Anyway, good luck with the new bow--hope it does the job for you!
