Ben Pearson Recurve question

I have a Ben Pearson recurve my dad gave me...He had it as long as I can remember I know it is at least 25 years old cuz its hanging on a rack in a picture of me on my first day of school in 1979 ...anyway it has some markings on it I wanted to know if it was useable for deer hunting...(Im a compound bow shooter)

the 45xx means it's 47@28. If it was xx45 it would be 43@28. As long as the limbs are straight and there are no cracks, delaminations, etc. and you draw at least 25-26" it should be enough for deer. Be sure to have an super sharp broadhead and arrows flying perfect. If you draw more than 28", that bow is probably going to be too short for you--might stack, and won't be as forgiving as most that are a bit longer. It will do the job though.
