I did have a Raven last year. They are nice bows if you don't draw past 28" I could just start to feel it stack at my 28" draw. It was quiet and plenty fast enough though

korn, just looked at the Raven, nice looking one piece recurve,@ 52," with curves, what a beauty!! I am wondering also, if it shoots as nice as it looks? Not all that pricey either for 300 bucks!!

I have a Raven. It's 49# @ 28". It's a very smooth drawing bow through 28" and it definitely shoots where I point it. I think it's because of the forward design of the riser and extreme curl in the limbs. It's design is similar to the Black Widow TF one-piece. Actually, it's still gaining 2 lbs. from 28"-29", but past 29" she's pretty much done. Shooting a 470 gr. cedar at 28" it chronos at 175 fps. Not bad for 49#.

I have recently purchased another bow for target shooting and it's FOR SALE! Check the Classifieds... a more than fair price at $240 shipped. [8D]
Too many bows, the wifee is concerned about my bow buying addiction. I'm gonna miss her, the bow that is.

I got one as a back up to my TF. Still got my Raven. 47#@28 shoots were I look. Could not be happier with a bow. I found the best shooting arrow is a 2114 with 125 grain heads and 5" shield cut fletching.

My thanks everybody for your replies.... I've ordered a Raven 57# @ 28 inches..... I draw 27 1/2 inches and shoot lefty.... Yep the bow looks good in the photo's and the prices on all the Chek Mate bows are realistic-great! IMHO most custom bows have gone over the edge on price... but guys are still buying them so..... If this Raven is as good as it looks... I will buy more Chek Mate bows....

I used to be a dealer & I've never seen a bad ChekMate bow. They are very reasonably priced, & bowyer Marc Moriez really knows his stuff so they shoot great. Quality & price considered, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal on a trad bow.
