Is there any info out there on fixing old arrows?

I'm new to archery, and the bow I bought off craigslist came with about forty arrows, but they all have rotted or deteriorating fletch. Is it worth it to try and fix them or should I just buy new. Keep in mind I have no experience with arrow repair.

the answer here is simple, BUY new one's
there is safety issue's that can take place with bad arrows, NOT straight or structural issue's
carbon arrows should be bent, wood one's either and trying to straighten aluminum or wood can lead to added stress to the shafts and then have catastrophic failure at shooting time

ever see any pictures of an arrow thru a persons hand or wrist
this is many times what causes that injury!

I agree with mrbb, if the arrows are in that condition where you can see, what condition might they be where you can't see. You don't even know at this point if the arrows are even spined for the bow you bought.

That's true I haven't really inspected the integrity of the arrow part ... thanks guys!

If you're new to archery like you stated, go to a good shop with your bow and have them set you up with properly spined arrows tuned for your bow or you'll never shoot well.

If they are Aluminum & straight, well worth refletching. See what a shop will charge you if one is nearby. I use Aluminums out of my compound & Longbow. I have all the fletching tools so build all my own.. If they are wood shafts & old, probably not worth it.

I too am a huge fan of aluminum and hate the new carbon junk.I too have a straightner.
