Bless you Tox. Your mama and papa didn't raise no juvinile delinquent. Let's show up at Detroit Archers longbow shoot and show Jack how honorable stickbow shooters do it. Last time I went Jack payed my way in and Me and my Wesley Special won 10 bucks off them guys. Of course I did the right thing and I donated the money to a worthy cause hehehe.

Chessbum, here you were 3 posts ago, accusing me of corrupting minors with gambling and then you go and admit to having done the same thing. What's good for the goose is supposed to be good for the gander. I'm expecting you and Tox show up on March 2nd or 3rd and we'll see who's goose get cooked this time.

I'll be there (making my arrows tonight), but you guys gotta teach me to be a good stick shooter. I don't have namy influences. The only influence I have painted his bow, uses a worn out piece of squirrel for a rest, shoots 3 fingers under, shoots undipped, uncoated wood and says "spline". What kinda influence is that?

Tox, why don't you come up to Huron Point Sportsman Club (28&Gratiot) Monday night trad shoot and I will set you on the path to longbow and wood arrow obsession. If you really want primative my friend Lou Becker will teach you Attali and selfbows.

Oh Floxter! I am an american capitalist who proudly spends money not deface it. I guess I got to come up to your club and open a can of whoop-*** so get that Bobby Lee Longbow and practice up and we can have some more fun. By the way this isn't a private party so if your in the area come on down and shoot with these Detroit Archers a good group of guys.

Floxter, I got to tell you a funny story also. Last Monday night at our trad shoot we all put a dollar in the pot (I'm only involved as a student of criminology) and we pick three shooters every week who get a 25 yard shot at a styrofoam coffee cup for the pot. As it happened I was drawn second to shoot and get a chance at the pot if the first guy misses which was at 36 dollars. Well this guy gets up and hits it first time which wins the pot and he got the money. Well just for the fun of it I took my shot and drilled it into the center of the cup right next to his at which point the crowd went wild. Now the point to this story slips my mind because I didn't win the money which would have gone to my favorite charity anyway and I have the right to remain silent anything I say may be blah,blah....

Chessbum....I think you guys have already had a great enough effect on me. I am emailing a guy about buying a Crusader (I still think they are ugly) used, and I just stained my Fiberglass arrows and so far they look strikingly like wood. Now if I could just get that wheel bow sold. I had a guy e-mail me a couple days ago, but haven't heard from him since? Any of you guys work at a bank, and can arrange for a longbow loan that either doesn't have to be paid back, or has a penny a month payment plan and 0% APR?

Shucks guys, I'd rather be lucky than good any day. And once you prove you can do it you NEVER take a second shoot to prove you can't do it! Well done Floxter!

I still have my compound in the basement. I sold it several times but having said try it for the season and if you don't like it return it. You can buy a nice bow for that kind of money but do your homework. If you like I will be attending the MLA Banquet in a week or two and will keep my eyes open for someone selling a decent longbow. I almost bought a beautiful longbow for 100 bucks at the expo a guy was walking around with but I shot it and I felt shock go all up my arm every time. It looked nice, I could shoot well with it, and 100 bucks was well priced but it hurt my shoulder so I thanked him and returned it.
